Kilohana Preschool is a non-profit, non-denominational school for keiki ages two to six, on a grassy campus shaded by monkeypod trees at the entrance to Niu Valley.

A balanced program, a nurturing place
We offer our students an integrated program in language arts, awareness of the world and other cultures, music, art, physical skills and pre-reading readiness that is balanced between teacher-directed and child-initiated activities.

A large covered lanai keeps the day going in any weather — a dry outdoor space for play, easels, and special programs.
Three classrooms, two shaded acres
We have three large, bright classrooms plus a napping room for our children. Classes are divided by age, with the youngest children having the smallest class size — 6 to 16 students, with one teacher in each classroom.
Our playground is spacious, grassy and naturally shaded by large trees. It includes an ample sandbox, swings, an area for riding tricycles, and a modern play structure designed specifically for preschool-age children.
Children attend children's chapel twice a month.

How enrollment works
Kilohana Preschool is licensed to admit 68 pupils from two to six years of age, who are toilet trained, on a non-discriminatory basis without regard to race, color or religion.

Call the office to arrange a visit. Bring your child and walk the yard with a teacher.
Send the application
Applications are available throughout the year for the following school year, and admission is open on a continual basis, space permitting.
Hold your spot
A non-refundable registration fee is due with the application form. A tuition deposit is paid upon entrance.
Order of arrival
All applications are processed in the order received, with preference given to returning students.

Come walk the yard
We are on the grounds of Kilohana United Methodist Church near the entrance to Niu Valley in East Oahu. Call or email and we will find a morning that works.
Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 5:00pm. Tours are best mid-morning, while the children are outside.
